Nothing up here today.

Shadow of the Colossus and Ico both have this ethereal quality to them, which is in part brought about by the limitations of the Playstation 2. I was worried that with an HD remaking of them that they might lose this "feel" to them. I think that, for the most part, this is a non-issue, as Shadow still looks amazing and as epically mysterious as I remember seeing it. The fog that leant atmosphere and hid world "pop in" on the PS2 is still present because luckily Bluepoint(they also handled God of War HD) knows that it did more than hide technical limitations, they understood that it gave to the game aesthetic overall. The colossi look AMAZING, and where there was blur before, I now see stone, fur, and amazing details. I'm at around 7 Colossi down, and past every one that I've seen in previews before, so they are all surprises now.
Dungeons and Dragons released the list of classes in the main player's book. I'm happy to say that they did not chop them up to sell them at a later date. All the main classes from 2nd and 3rd are in there, as well as the addition of the Warlock. The Warlock is the head of D&D at WOTC's pet class, so its no surprise he wants it in canon as a true "first book" class. While I play Hunter and Ranger in MMO's, I started D&D as a Wizard, and lately I have gravitated to the sorcerer, and he's in the main book too. WOTC is making some good decisions here. Its going to be hard to choose which system for that "D&D" fix, Paizo is going to have a hell of a storm to weather this year.
I have the last episode of Attack on Titan to watch, but I'm catching up my girlfriend to that spot. I'm leaving that last bit of "what's going to happen" so that we can experience it together. I was unsure she would enjoy it at first because this show is brutal on the heart. Shows like this have to walk a fine line for me to enjoy them. I'm skipping the whole Game of Thrones thing because its just horrible people doing horrible things, and anyone you get attached to dies pretty horribly. Attack on Titan balances to the side of inspirational just enough to keep me coming back for more. Inspirational is totally the appropriate word. Where as every time we went into Shinji's mind in Neon Genesis Evangelion we were depressed and let down by the whiney little bastard, when we go into Eren's mind in Attack on Titan we get inspired in the face of adversity. The low life expectancy of the characters on the show lends credence to their bravery. Just as many die after a rousing speech and courageous actions as live, so we're never sure how things are going to turn out, and it makes us hope for our favorites.

Game of thrones actually has a few heroes who develop to stop horroble people. You can't just focus on th what people.
